  11.        Boost the affordability and ease-of-management of your 10BASE-T

  13.        Peer-Hub concentrator. This 8-bit standard 10BASE-T hub connects
  14.        your network with the less expensive unshielded twisted-pair
  15.        cable often found prewired in newer office buildings.

  17.        The Peer-Hub concentrator works with any standard 10BASE-T
  18.        network.  In conjunction with  Artisoft's LANtastic NOS, you and
  19.        five others can use the Peer-Hub concentrator simultaneously. The
  20.        Peer-Hub concentrator complies with the IEEE 10BASE-T standards
  21.        of four concentrators and five segments per network. It will,
  22.        with the addition of an Artisoft AE-3 adapter board, connect a
  23.        coax segment to a 10BASE-T network, without the need for
  24.        expensive additional bridging equipment.

  26.        The Peer-Hub concentrator is more than just affordable, it takes
  27.        the headaches out of network management. Its software allows the
  28.        host PC to view the status of all ports and to activate or
  29.        disable each port individually. Alarms and audit trails come
  30.        standard with the Peer-Hub concentrator's software,  so if the
  31.        status of a port changes, the software sounds an alarm. Or status
  32.        changes can be audited to disk for later review. And with remote
  33.        access software, such as The Network Eye from Artisoft, Peer-Hub
  34.        concentrators can even be controlled from non-host PCs.

  36.        Plus, with its onboard memory, the Peer-Hub concentrator saves
  37.        your network configuration.  So if you have a power outage, your
  38.        host PC can reconfigure the network because the Peer-Hub
  39.        concentrator's EEPROM  will remember each port's name, physical
  40.        and wiring location, and whether that port is active or not.

  42.        The Peer-Hub concentrator creates a complete 10BASE-T hub within
  43.        an IBM PC or compatible  computer. It works  with any standard
  44.        10BASE-T network, including Artisoft's LANtastic and Novell's
